This module describes employable and practicable skills, knowledge and right attitudes required by the student to perform roof setting out, prepare materials for roof construction, assemble roof trusses, join and secure the roof frame and finally perform finishing activities for the roof. The contents provided in this course are packages reserved for a student pursuing TVET certificate III in wood technology. Graduates at this level will have knowledge and skills for initial work, community involvement and/or further learning.

By the end of the learning session, the learner will be able to:
- Identify at least four types of wood materials used in furniture production with 80% accuracy.
- Distinguish between hardwoods, softwoods and manufactured boards with at least 80% accuracy.
- Select appropriate furniture materials according to size, shape, mass, cost and sustainability requirements.
- Identify and classify at least 10 furniture-making tools according to their functions.
- Select appropriate PPE for a given furniture-making activity with 100% accuracy.
