By the end of the learning session, the learner will be able to:

  1. Identify at least four types of wood materials used in furniture production with 80% accuracy.
  2. Distinguish between hardwoods, softwoods and manufactured boards with at least 80% accuracy.
  3. Select appropriate furniture materials according to size, shape, mass, cost and sustainability requirements.
  4. Identify and classify at least 10 furniture-making tools according to their functions.
  5. Select appropriate PPE for a given furniture-making activity with 100% accuracy.
