The purpose of learning ornamental finishing works is to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to improve the beauty, protection, and value of buildings. You will learn how to apply different finishes, You will protect building surfaces from weathering and damage  and  You will contribute to making buildings attractive, durable, and comfortable.


This specific module describes the knowledge, skills, and attitude of performing acoustic and thermal insulation works. It is intended to be pursued by you at TVET Certificate V in building construction. At the end of this module, you will be able to perform preliminary works, construct soundproof elements, and install thermal insulation panels.

By learning this module, you will be able to: Understand the different types of ceilings and where each is used, Select the right tools, equipment, and materials for ceiling work, Prepare the work area and accurately measure, cut, and fix ceiling components, Work safely while following construction standards, Deliver ceilings that are strong, functional, and attractive.

By the end of this module, you will be confident and competent to carry out ceiling installation both independently and as part of a construction team.
