Introduction

Hello and a warm welcome to the course called Wood kiln operation. My name is SANGANO Emmanuel, and I am delighted to be your instructor for this course.

This module describes employable and practicable skills, knowledge and right attitudes required by the student to Inspect and store incoming timber in the kiln, Load and offload timber into and from the kiln, monitor drying systems, perform routine maintenance on the kiln, handle and dispose of any by-products or waste materials generated by the wood kiln.

To make the most of this blended learning experience, our online sessions and in-person sessions work hand-in-hand. Please note that theoretical components will be completed online, while practical activities will be conducted face-to-face.

Throughout the course, we will use a variety of interactive tools, including videos, images, audio, texts, quizzes, discussions, and assignments.
