The Tractor Operation Course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, practical skills, and safety practices required to operate agricultural tractors effectively, efficiently, and safely. The course covers tractor components and systems, pre-operation inspection, starting and stopping procedures, safe driving and maneuvering, coupling and operating agricultural implements, field operations, basic troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and safe handling of tractor-related hazards.
Through theory lessons, demonstrations, practical exercises, and assessments, learners develop the ability to select appropriate tractor settings and implements, perform basic checks and adjustments, operate tractors under different field conditions, identify common operational problems, and carry out routine maintenance. Emphasis is placed on operator safety, environmental protection, fuel efficiency, proper equipment handling, and prevention of damage to machinery and soil.
