(0) Introduction
- Before undertaking any action about tree planting, it is necessary to identify the purpose to be achieved. The tree planting section in this module intends to present details on various planned activities which may be carried out so that seedlings' establishment may have a good start with rapid early growth. In this way, planted trees will result in high expected productivity. More often, successful tree planting involves a series of steps, each one dependent upon the others. Three following steps will be developed in this module to understand how tree planting is practiced on the ground.
They include:
- Prepare forest plantation site;
- Apply pre-planting treatment;
- Apply forest transplanting operations.
