Introduction
Planning catering for an event or function module describes the skills, knowledge and
attitudes required for a TVET trainee certificate V, Level V in Food and Beverages service, in
order to plan for catering for an event or function. By the end of this module the learner will
be able to identify purpose and scope of the event, to Prepare catering proposal for event
or function, to Prepare and implement operational plan for the catering of an event or
function, in hospitality establishments with minimum supervision
