This module introduces learners to AutoCAD software, a powerful Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tool used by engineers, architects, and designers to create precise 2D and 3D drawings.

This module describes the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to make cement-based blocks pavers. It is intended to be pursued by learner at TVET level IV in Building Construction. At the end of this module, the learner will be able to: select tools, equipment and materials, prepare mortar, produce cement blocks and cement pavers, prepare ground base, and lay pavers.

Terrazzo is a composite material that originated in Italy during the 15th century.

 It typically consists of chips of marble, quartz, granite, or glass mixed with a cement or epoxy binder.

 The word “terrazzo” comes from the Italian word for terrace, as the original technique was  used to create durable and decorative flooring in outdoor spaces.



This module describes the knowledge, skills and attitude of quantifying various construction works and reporting the work done. 

It is intended to be pursued by the learners at TVET Certificate IV in building construction. At the end of this module, the learner will be able to:

 Interpret construction drawings, determine required resources in the construction sites, perform site data collection and reporting.


This module is designed to provide learners with the fundamental knowledge, skills, and attitudes required in architectural drawing and model-making.  It introduces the preparation and proper use of drawing materials, instruments, and equipment. Learners will acquire essential techniques for producing hand-drawn architectural sketches and technical drawings, as well as develop practical abilities to fabricate accurate scale models of buildings. 

In the construction industry, concrete work involves using concrete to build foundations, 

fences and poles, overpasses, parking facilities, pavements, roads and bridges, 

walls and footings for gates and more.


This course provides a comprehensive understanding of tile works, covering the principles, techniques, and best practices involved in the installation and maintenance of various types of tiles. Participants will learn about different tile materials, tools, and methods, ensuring they can effectively plan, execute, and troubleshoot tile projects in both residential and commercial settings.
