🎯 Purpose Statement
This module covers the essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to properly perform ruminant farming of domestic animals.
It is designed for learners who have successfully completed nine years of basic education (Level II in ordinary level or its equivalent) and are pursuing TVET Level III in Animal Health or related qualifications.

🐄 Course Competency Elements
1️⃣ Identify Ruminant Breeds
Properly identify cattle, goat, and sheep breeds according to their genetic and phenotypic characteristics.
2️⃣ Perform Site and Materials Selection for Ruminant Shelters
Select appropriate sites based on animal species and topography, choose suitable construction materials, and identify the necessary shelter equipment.
3️⃣ Design Ruminant Shelters
Classify different production systems, identify specific ruminant shelters, and correctly design cowsheds and shelter layouts.
4️⃣ Manage Ruminant Reproduction
Choose suitable breeding stock, apply mating techniques, assist with parturition, manage birth complications, collect milk properly, and oversee weaning.
5️⃣ Feed Ruminants
Appropriately feed dairy cattle, beef cattle, and small ruminants according to farming systems and nutritional requirements, while managing nutritional deficiencies.
