Purpose statement

 This module describes skills, knowledge and attitudes required to construct a roof structure. It is meant for learners who have successfully completed level IV in building construction and pursuing level V in building construction. At the end of this module students will be able to Perform roof preliminary works, set out the roof, fix roof and apply roof coverings with minimum supervision.

This specific module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to

construct ceiling. It is meant for learners who have successfully completed level IV in building construction and pursuing level V in building construction. At the end of this module students will be able to Perform ceiling preliminary works, set out ceiling, construct ceiling frame and apply ceiling coverings with minimum supervision.

This General module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to perform construction site management. It is meant for learners who have successfully completed level IV in building construction and pursuing level V in building construction. At the end of this module, learners will be able to manage construction site documents, Conduct the management of construction activities, Prepare and manage contract with minimum supervision.

This specific module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude to perform reinforced concrete works on construction site. It is intended to be pursued by learner at TVET level V for TVET Certificate IV in Building Construction. At the end of this module, the learner will be able to: Interpret structural details, identify structural members’ connections, determine forces acting on structural members and design concrete structure elements.

This specific module describes the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to erect scaffolding. It is meant for learners who have successfully completed level IV in building construction and pursuing level V in building construction. At the end of this module, learners will be able to perform preliminary works, assemble the scaffolding units, Monitor use of scaffolding and dismantle the scaffolding units.

This specific module describes the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to use ArchiCAD software. It is meant for learners who have successfully completed level IV in building construction and pursuing level V in building construction. At the end of this module, learners will be able to prepare the ArchiCAD software environment, produce ArchiCAD drawings, and print out ArchiCAD drawings.

This specific module describes the knowledge, skills, and attitude of performing acoustic and thermal insulation works. It is intended to be pursued by the learners at TVET Certificate V in building construction. At the end of this module, the learner will be able to perform preliminary works, construct soundproof elements, and install thermal insulation panels.
