The fuel supply system is intended to supply the engine's mixture-formation system with sufficient fuel in all operating states. The fuel is stored in the fuel tank and then delivered to the cylinders. Petrol engines use light-grade gasoline fuel, while Diesel Engines utilize heavy diesel fuel. Therefore fuel supply systems differ significantly in petrol and diesel engine. The fuel tank stores fuel, and the Fuel Pump is used to supply petrol from the petrol tank through the fuel filter to the carburetor or standard rails or high-pressure injection pump. Fuel is transported through the fuel line. Therefore the fuel is injected by fuel injectors into the combustion chamber.
