Elements of Successful Plant Grafting
For plant grafting to be successful, the following conditions should be met:
- Rootstock and scion are well matched
- Rootstock and scion are healthy
- Cambium of the scion and rootstock are aligned when joined together
- Scion has dormant eye
- Grafting union/site is properly covered and secured
