Week 1 - Reminders and Checklist for Activities at the Workplace

At the start and at the end of every week of your Industrial Attachment, you should plan and evaluate the completion of all the necessary activities you need to accomplish. Work planning and regular self-evaluation are essential parts of the successful completion of your Industrial Attachment.

Instructions: After reading the checklists, you can copy them to your notebook, where you will keep track of their completion. Don't forget to bring your notebook to your IA so that you remember to complete your weekly tasks and needed documents!

Below is a checklist of items and activities students should plan for and accomplish in their first week at work. You may add more items to the list in your notebook if necessary. Remember to check off the items as you complete them:

□ Daily attendance

□ Weekly worksheet

□ Industrial Attachment program plan

□ Ensure that both your In Company Instructor (ICI)/supervisor and school supervisor have each other's contacts and know your IA goals and timeline.

□ Orient your ICI/supervisor to the company logbook
