Welcome to the Introduction to e-Work Based learning, a lesson designed to provide you with an overview of the e-WBL course.
Lesson 1: Introduction to Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Coaching
Welcome to the Introduction to Peer-to-Peer coaching. In this lesson, you will be introduced to peer coaching, have an opportunity to practice coaching in a group, and learn how you can integrate peer-to-peer coaching as part of your e-WBL experience.
Lesson 2: Goal Setting
Welcome to the goal-setting lesson of the e-Work Based Learning course. In this lesson, you will learn not only how to set goals but also setting SMART goals, their relevance and applicability to Work-Based and e-Work Based Learning, and how to set SMART Industrial Attachment and career goals.
Lesson 3: Teamwork and Collaboration
Welcome to the Teamwork and Collaboration lesson of the e-Work Based Learning course. In this lesson, you will learn about the importance of teamwork and collaboration, and the dynamics that support effective teamwork and collaboration. You will practice these skills with your peers.
Lesson 4: Asking for Clarification in the Workplace
Welcome to the Asking for Clarification in the Workplace lesson of the e-Work Based Learning course. In this lesson, you will learn the importance of asking for clarification in the workplace and have an opportunity to practice these skills through a role-play activity.
Lesson 5: Taking Initiative in the Workplace
Welcome to the Taking Initiative in the Workplace lesson of the e-Work Based Learning course. In this lesson, you will learn about taking initiative in the workplace, and observe examples of initiative-taking in real workplace scenarios.
Lesson 6: Trainer Checkpoint & Intro to the Next Set of Lessons
Welcome to the trainer checkpoint lesson of the e-Work Based Learning course. In this lesson, with the guidance of the trainer, you will reflect on the past 5 e-WBL lessons to check on progress made and lessons learned. Additionally, you will be introduced to the next set of lessons that will help further prepare you for your Industrial Attachment.
Lesson 7: Searching for a Workplace
Welcome to the searching for a workplace lesson of the e-Work Based Learning course, in this lesson, you will be introduced to different sources of employment and strategies to apply when self-sourcing for a workplace and the necessary prerequisites to have/complete before.
Lesson 8: Orientation to 1st Day at Work and Simulation Prep - Problem-Solving Role-Plays
Welcome to the orientation to 1st day at work and simulation prep lesson of e-Work Based Learning course. In this lesson, you will get an orientation on what you can expect your 1st day at the workplace/of your industrial attachment to look like. You will also prepare and practice role-plays on your 1st day at work and problem-solving in the workplace.
Lesson 9: Role-Play Performance Day!
Welcome to the performance for the problem-solving role-plays you have been developing! In this lesson, you will get the opportunity to perform the role-plays in your peer groups and get feedback from your trainer and other students. Through the performances, you will practice problem-solving skills you can apply in real life, and by receiving and providing feedback to other groups, you will learn the good practice of providing and receiving constructive feedback.
Lesson 10: Lessons Learned Debrief & Orientation to IA
Congratulations! You have now reached the final lesson of the e-WBL Industrial Attachment preparation course. In this lesson, you will debrief on what you have learned throughout the course and reflect on how prepared you are or need to be before going to the workplace. You will also be introduced to the next phase of the e-WBL course for during Industrial Attachment.
