  Introduction

   Setting out is the process of marking the position, shape and size of a st ru ct u re i n cl u d i n g building, pipeline, dam, electrical power line, etc.., on aconstruction site. The details provided by the architect and surveyor on the project plans and drawing are transferred to the ground on which the structure will be built.
