When managing grazing livestock, the farmer should make the best use of the whole pasture to maximize production while avoiding the deterioration of the pasture. For that, he must be able to determine the carrying capacity of that field, depending on his grass and its production. In case of a poor-quality pasture, he must be able to improve the quality of the grass. Furthermore, he must be able to manage his entire pasture to optimally and homogeneously exploit it through paddocks.
